Join us at the gallery on Friday, December 13 at 6pm for the opening reception of the Robert Comploj Solo Exhibition.  This exhibition will be coinciding with our Retrospective of Stephen Rolfe Powell show.

Robert Comploj is a master of glass art from Austria.  He learned his craft from the world’s greatest glass blowers of Murano. Robert Comploj draws upon centuries-old knowledge, which he combines with modern design and bold colors.

To craft his glass objects influenced by Scandinavian designs and Southern traditions, Robert Comploj uses ancient Venetian techniques. He combines that with cutting-edge methods. Nevertheless, their shapes are also determined by various topical themes broached by contemporary artists, as well as by the social trends of our times, as this glass artist comments. All his pieces testify to his striving to create superlative studio glass.
